Operations with two or more installations, and simultaneous operations such as construction and production, need appropriate management systems and controls for effective use of resources and to minimise risks.
It is also necessary to submit Combined Operations
and Abandonment Safety Cases to the HSE, and to notify
the HSE of construction activities and well operations.
Woodhill can assist with fulfilling these requirements
by providing support services which include:
- Preparation of operations matrices to list the work items and identify the possible simultaneous activities.
- HAZOP and qualitative or quantitative risk analyses to determine which simultaneous activities are permissible, not permissible or permissible with special controls, thus ensuring the risks are as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP).
- Bridging documents for safety management systems and emergency procedures.
- Preparation of documentation such as Safety Cases and manuals for use on installations and vessels and for submission to the authorities.
- Preparation of handbooks to assist training and quick reference during operations.
