in a format that is widely used. Woodhill personnel
are also experienced in other drawing and graphics
packages. 3D modelling
is undertaken using powerful workstations and add-on
packages to AutoCAD which enable:
Efficient real time 3D modelling.
Automatic generation of piping
isometrics.
Automatic generation of bills
of materials.
Coordinate data for export to
stress analysis packages.
Stress analysis is performed using industry-accepted software, with efficient data input from the 3D modelling. Following the stress analysis, the 3D model is modified as necessary.
In addition to the efficient development and generation of engineering information, Woodhill can create a full 3D model for transmission by email to clients, fabrication companies, etc. The model can be viewed remotely using low cost viewing software, which Woodhill has also provided to clients. The 3D model contains intelligence, and component parts can be interrogated for information such as dimensions, weights, specification and so on. This provides an excellent visual aid to support the more conventional engineering information.
